DIRECTIONS TO WATERGATE, OUR PITCHES IN LOBLEY HILL, GATESHEAD

Coming North on A1(M) passed the Angel of the North (on your right), continue down the bank (this is the Western Bypass of the A1(M)), ignore the turn-off on the left for the Team Valley and continue ahead. The Team Valley Trading Estate will now appear on your right with woodland to your left. Take the next main turning on the left, indicated for Consett. This is the A692 at Lobley Hill, turn left up the hill, remaining in the right-hand lane. Passing the shops at the top of the bank (facing you on your left) and with buildings 50 yards further on the right, take a right here at the lights (B6317). Continue forward, passing St. Marys Church on the right. Access to the car park is by taking the second turning on the left signed WATERGATE PARK (approximately 300-400 yards from the Church), opposite the entrance to 'Woodburn Gardens' which is on the right.

Please park well up the car park and follow the route through the footpaths to the playing fields and our Watergate Changing Rooms.

Watergate Park is a recreational area and has wonderful nature walks. A lake is the centrepiece of this natural wildlife area, the facilities are open for all the public to enjoy, dogs are welcome.

DIRECTIONS TO SMITH TERRACE, OUR ADDITIONAL PITCHES IN GATESHEAD 

Coming North on A1(M) passed the Angel of the North (on your right), continue down the bank (this is the Western Bypass of the A1(M)), ignore the turn-off on the left for the Team Valley and continue ahead. The Team Valley Trading Estate will now appear on your right with woodland to your left. Continue on the A1(M) past the Lobley Hill turn-off (A692), and then take the next slip road on your left which is sign posted A184 – Gateshead/Newcastle. Follow the skip road over the A1(M) onto the A184 for approx ¼ mile. Take the first slip road off the A184. At the T junction, turn right onto Derwentwater Road (A1114). Take the next left into the POWERLEAGUE Soccer Centre, where you can use the car park. Entry to the playing pitches is via gates positioned behind the 5 a side pitches, in the far left-hand corner of the soccer centre.
