2010 Annual Presentation Night Was held on Saturday 5th of JUNE, 2010 at the Lancastrian Suite, Dunston. It was a true Night of Celebration with over 700 attending on a very warm evening. All players and children under 16 gain free admission to this very special night and Club as well as Individual Awards were presented. Many congratulations to everyone who attended to receive their trophies. BEN HARRISON from the U12W won the Lauren Barber Award and LIAM BENNISON from the U17s was the first recipient of the David Watson Memorial Trophy. Dave Nelthorpe and Kevin Thompson (in the absence of a 'crippled' Steve Burdis) were the Comperes and they did a splendid job. The Disco was run as efficiently as ever by Sean Renner; many thanks to everyone who assisted in making this event possible and who came along on the Saturday morning to help set up the venue. Anyone interested in sponsoring this Event is asked to contact Bill Baty, our Club Chairman. The 2011 Presentation Night will take place on SATURDAY, 4th JUNE 2011 once again at the LANCASTRIAN SUITE. _____________________________
2009 ANNUAL PRESENTATION NIGHT The 2009 Presentation Night took place on SATURDAY, 13th JUNE 2009 again at the LANCASTRIAN SUITE, DUNSTON. Doors opened at 6.00pm and by 6.30p.m. there was not a seat to be had with over 800 in attendance. Dave Nelthorpe and Steve Burdis organised a visual as well as an audio accompaniment to the Presentations this year and with the assistance of Sean Renner on the Disco the evening was a sensational success. Many many congratulations to everyone who received their Club Trophies and congratulations to those who received Individual Awards within each age-group in the categories of 'Most Improved Player', 'Most Sporting Player' and 'Player of the Season'. Everyone was applauded very enthusiastically and our players did themselves, their parents and the Club proud, looking so smart in their white shirts and Club ties. The Chairman's Shield was awarded to JACK BELL for his outstanding service to the Club. Many thanks are due to the people who organise this very special night, including the Lancastrian Suite for looking after us so well once again and we hope that all the parents and families of our players had a fantastic time. There are not many occasions that families can come together to share the success of an individual and a team, we are so proud that our Presentation Nights continue to be the highlight of our year and thank everyone for their support. With 21 teams to present trophies too it was always going to take time to get through the many awards; however it was truly a Night of Celebration for individuals and for our Club. Next year, we will have 24 teams - more people to fit in!
