Committee Meeting

The first General Committee Meeting of the season will take place on SUNDAY, 5th of SEPTEMBER 2010 at the BAY HORSE (Upstairs Lounge) commencing at 7.00p.m. A good representation from teams would be appreciated; anyone wanting an item to be discussed is asked to contact the Club Chairman who will place it on the Agenda.

2010 GOLF DAY

The 2010 ANNUAL GOLF DAY will take place on FRIDAY, 24th SEPTEMBER 2010. The venue will once again be  WHICKHAM GOLF CLUB. Early application to play and sponsor holes is advised. Call BILL BATY on 07956125851 to reserve your Golf or to enquire about Sponsorship.

2010 Annual Presentation Night

This very special occasion was held on Saturday 5th of JUNE, 2010 at the Lancastrian Suite, Dunston. All players and children under 16  gained free admission to this special Night of Celebration and the attendance was staggering on a very warm night. Every player within our Club received a trophy and individual Awards were made to each team under the categories 'Most Improved Player', 'Most Sporting Player' and 'Player of the Season'. The Lauren Barber Memorial Award was won by BEN HARRISON from the U12W and the first presentation of the David Watson Memorial Cup was awarded to LIAM BENNISON from the U17s, two very worthy recipients. In his concluding remarks the Chairman thanked everyone for all the work done over the season which resulted in another very successful year for our Club. Congratulations and well done to everyone!

2010 SUMMER SOCCER TRIALS

Once more our very popular Summer Soccer Trials were held from Sunday 13th June, and ran for FOUR consecutive Sundays covering the 20th June, 27th June and the 4th July. The coaching sessions were on from 10am to 12 noon at our Watergate Park pitches next to Emmanuel College, Lobley Hill in Gateshead. Pre-registration of players took place from 9:45am, with coaching sessions starting at 10am.

These sessions are part of our community work and have enabled new teams to be formed, as well as existing teams added to and strengthened; age groups for both boys and girls range from Under-6 to Under-10. However we are always interested in anyone wanting to join or find out details about our older age group 11-a-side teams as well, ranging from Under-11 through to Under-21's. Expert and structured coaching is offered within our Club to everyone attending from our qualified Coaches and Assistants. Special ''GIRLS ONLY'' sessions were also organised separately at the same time and same venue. These sessions are part of our Girls Football Development currently being organised within our Club. 30th ANNIVERSARY DINNER, MAY 6th 2010

DAVID WATSON 1986-2009

Sapper DAVID WATSON was killed in Afghanistan on New Years Eve working in his role within Bomb Disposal. A former play with our Club, a tribute to him can be found in the 'News' area.
